Lifestyle at City Beach by "Mobay"

We are usually very suspicious of hotels near airports. However, at the S Hotel in "Mobay", as the locals call Montego Bay, our concerns were unfounded.

In just a few minutes, the driver took us from the airport to the Small Luxury Hotel located on the wide, fine sandy Doctors Cave Beach - the center of Mobay with its numerous cafés, restaurants and clubs is just a few minutes' walk away. Close by: Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records, a mixture of pub and record store. On our very first evening on the Caribbean island, we enjoyed reggae music in the hotel from the best live band we experienced on our trip to the island. Later, we sat on our balcony with a bottle of wine while listening to their sounds, with the pool, the beach and the Caribbean Sea below us.
Only if you really want to save money, take a room with a city view and a view of the "Hip Strip", especially as these basic rooms are also smaller than those with a sea view. In general, the rooms are quite spacious, with a large balcony, modern, high-quality and tastefully furnished. The best place to stay is on the upper floor, in the Sky Club Spa Suites. The Skybar, an infinity pool and the fitness center are also located on the top floor.
We particularly liked the very spacious bathrooms with a free-standing bathtub and large walk-in shower with three different shower functions. A special gimmick is the record player with Bob Marley vinyl.
The house is characterized by a certain nonchalance, it could also be located in Miami South Beach. During the day, it's all about hanging out by the pool and beach, then dressing up in style in the evening. After dinner, the bar is surrounded by people and the band is applauded. During our stay, unfortunately only the proper main restaurant Marketplace was open, but the Rocksteady with seafood was closed. However, this was also announced on the website. Despite the low season, there was a lot going on, especially younger Americans who seemed to have been attracted by the advertised special rates.
