Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana
Lifestyle adults-only resort on a powdered sugar beach
The Hyatt Zilara on Cap Cana, less than 15 minutes from the airport, does a lot of things right. Although an all-inclusive resort, with 375 rooms it is certainly not a boutique hotel and, together with the neighboring Hyatt Ziva, twice as large for families, everything feels very relaxed. The horseshoe-shaped, compact building wing that opens up to the sea? Well, a kind of functional bungalow, only with several floors. But modern, bright rooms and suites with large bathrooms, balconies and all(!) sea views. The "inner courtyard", let's call it that, is a tropical garden, clearly laid out with wide and narrow paths, two large pool areas with comfortable daybeds and swim-up bars, one of which is only accessible to club guests. Here, too, there are tall coconut palms, lounge areas with fire pits and water basins, which are atmospherically illuminated in the evening. There are also urban restaurants - the breakfast buffet at The Pier is exorbitantly good - and bars where you never have the feeling of being in a large resort. And when you do, as at Wave, it's always in casual style. A lifestyle resort for a relaxed couple's vacation. As an adults-only resort, the Hyatt Zilara can be described as a successful concept. A place to relax and unwind - thanks to the (easily tolerable) interim music system, even during the day, with a Caribbean party vibe.
