Test highlight sundowner on the pool terrace accompanied by soft piano sounds and a spectacular sunset.
Small but beautiful is the perfect description for this intimate boutique hotel in the far north-east of Sardinia. The Grand Relais De Nuraghi is located at the end of Via Tre Monti, in one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of Baja Sardinia. The landscape is characterized by smooth, pink granite rocks. Thanks to its privileged position on a rocky outcrop, the charming house offers an enchanting panoramic view over the entire La Maddalena archipelago and the Gulf of Arzachena. Floor-to-ceiling windows, gleaming stone floors, gray upholstered seating and a white grand piano are more reminiscent of the casual living room of a private retreat than a hotel lobby. Rooms and suites, including junior suites with a garden and private pool, are spread across the extensive grounds and offer plenty of privacy. The furnishings are simple and purist.
Our bed, however, could be softer and the bed linen more cozy. On the other hand, the view of the bay is magnificent and the private roof terrace with sun loungers is a real oasis of well-being. The turndown service is impeccable. Only the water in the room is missing. The excellent service team looks after guests attentively and with dedication. There is a beautiful pool (unfortunately without an outdoor shower) and a sunset bar that lives up to its name.
At the blue hour, piano music wafts through the house. Dinner on the terrace by the pool is a pleasure and the service is impeccable. The same goes for breakfast, which offers a small but high-quality selection at the buffet and à la carte. The rocky, hidden Kokka Beach can be reached after a short walk or by buggy. Sun loungers are available, but apart from that the beach is very simple and pristine. However, the beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda are within easy reach - and the Phi Beach Club, which is popular during the season, is right on the doorstep.
