Like an oasis , the 50-hectare Forte Village is surrounded by lush gardens and pine forests on the south coast of Sardinia. The luxury resort by the sea, which has been a success story for more than five decades, is a world of its own: 8 different hotels, 13 villas with private pools and butlers, 21 restaurants, 10 pools, sports academies and a unique children's wonderland. But there is another reason to put this exclusive hideaway on your bucket list: the Aquaforte Thalasso & Spa. Following extensive refurbishment, the multi-award-winning spa opened its doors in 2022 as the first medical spa in Sardinia. It offers treatments in the middle of a subtropical paradise garden.
A little effort is needed at the beginning to get into the 38 degree hot, brown pool with "sea oil". The high salt concentration makes your body float in the water and you quickly feel like you're on cloud nine. The Salt & Honey Treatment, a mixture of exfoliation and massage with sea salt and warm honey, is also highly recommended. Whether you enjoy the excellent buffet under the stars on the terrace of the "Cavalieri", a romantic candlelight dinner at "Le Dune" or gourmet delights with 3-star chef Heinz Beck right by the sea, the culinary options are exquisite. Excitingly, despite the size of the resort, you hardly see any other guests. This must be due to the many paths and trails that meander through the lush vegetation. Only at breakfast do the guests crowd around. There are scrambled eggs from the hot food station, and unfortunately the juice is not freshly prepared. Our Boathouse Suite is just a few steps away from the elegant Forte Village Hotel Castello. Checking in here means experiencing that pure Malibu feeling. Plus the gentle sound of the waves. You could spend the whole day here, but then you would miss out on the beach, tennis, golf, surfing, diving, sailing, yoga, fencing, etc.
