Das Kranzbach
Nobility obliged
This freedom of being in the midst of nature is conveyed to us, even though Mary Portman's small country estate has now become a wellness hotel of considerable size, which has been integrated into nature in a very environmentally friendly way. Everyone will find a place to relax here, and there are even more loungers in the spa relaxation rooms than there are guests staying in the hotel. Day spa visitors or restaurant guests from outside are not permitted, although, or perhaps precisely because, the 3,600 m2 bathhouse and the excellent cuisine can certainly be considered core attractions. As hotel guests, we are all the happier to be able to enjoy a variety of wellness treatments, creative gourmet creations and nature experiences that we do not have to share with "outsiders".
Although the hotel is very well booked, every guest can find a secluded spot here to be alone or with others. During the Corona period, the hotel management has also opted for a buffet - with mask and disposable gloves - rather than tiered tables for environmentally friendly reasons, so that as little as possible has to be thrown away.

A daily activity program offers morning yoga, Nordic walking, aqua fit and e-bike tours as well as meditation sessions, which take place in the architectural work of art by Japanese artist Kengo Kuma in the middle of the forest. Forest bathing in the Kranzbach is therefore not just a word - it is wellness that offers a retreat from everyday life, pure relaxation and comfortable feel-good experiences from the bathhouse to the tree house. Mary Portman would certainly have been happy about that too ...
