Das James
Nordic cool? Nope.
The James Living Room, The Lion bar, a library and the James Farmhouse are housed here. The latter is one of four remarkable restaurants. They are under the aegis of Quirin Brundobler, former sous-chef at Sylt's Sölring Hof. His creations in "The Grace" are worthy of stars. In total, a team of 18 chefs is at work in the open kitchen. The sensational breakfast buffet is designed to outwit the feeling of fullness and the afternoon tea with divine patisseries will make you swear off counting calories. The 81 rooms and suites in the listed naval building have been furnished with great sensitivity for "cozy" elegant living.
The glass balcony offers a panoramic view over the marina and the Flensburg Fjord all the way to Denmark. You could quickly sail across. But the SPA Five Senses in the newly built bathhouse on the roof beckons. The 2,000 m2 facility with indoor and outdoor pool and sun deck has nothing to hide from international luxury wellness. The saunas, steam bath and oriental hammam are just as enjoyable as the treatments by well-trained therapists. The highlight for ladies: they can relax in a separate sauna and cozy lounge.
