Because at the Andaz Vienna - one of five hotels in Europe belonging to the Hyatt Group boutique hotel chain - casual luxury meets fun local color. That's why the (included) minibar also serves Mannerschnitten and Almdudler and the walls are adorned with art by young, local artists. There's also a pretty, semi-open bathroom, a surprising amount of space, an ingeniously designed ventilation system for those who don't like air conditioning and floor-to-ceiling windows from which you can either look out over the Schweizergarten to the city or across the courtyard to the surrounding residential and office towers. The building, which opened in 2019, is not only located "at the Belvedere", but also at Vienna's new main railway station, around which an up-and-coming city district has been created in recent years.
Best views regardless of the room category booked can be enjoyed in the "Aurora Rooftop Bar", which is popular with hotel guests and locals alike, with its spectacular panoramic terrace, creative cocktail menu and delicious bar bites. The "Eugen21", on the other hand, is a relaxed dinner location. "Paprika chicken with tarhonya, smoked sour cream and seed oil chili salsa" is served on the bistro tables here. Or a "veal shoulder with sweet potato cream, pak choi and shiitake mushrooms", followed by a first-class "pancake with yuzu kosho, plantains and macadamia".
