The Thai luxury hotel brand Anantara has chosen one of Portugal's most exclusive regions for its European premiere: Vilamoura! The elegant, extremely spacious luxury resort, formerly home to the Tivoli Victoria, is directly adjacent to the championship golf course Dom Pedro Victoria designed by Arnold Palmer - the venue for the annual Portugal Masters.

An underground corridor connects the hotel and clubhouse. There are more than 20 other courses in the surrounding area. The hotel's own golf guru Tomás Carlota reserved our tee times and took care of transfers and coaching lessons - perfect! The service is impressive across the board.
Rooms and suites are elegant and modern with maximum comfort. Innovative: a smartphone on the desk for free use. Pleasant: plenty of space to store cosmetics in the bathroom, a spacious walk-in dressing room and a cozy daybed for chilling out on the balcony. The only thing missing is sockets for charging electronic devices in the desk area.
The 1,200 m² Anantara Spa - as in all Anantara hotels, the heart of the hotel - extends over two floors and includes a sauna area and indoor pool. Thai architecture is combined here with Portuguese and Moorish elements to create a place that radiates tranquillity and exotic sensuality. Dreamlike: the wonderful roof terrace, where you can enjoy the panoramic view over the golf course with a cup of ginger tea after a soothing signature massage with orange oil.
In the main restaurant EMO , chef Bruno Viegas serves: "Carabineiros" - king prawns from the Atlantic with samphire (sea fennel) - this is regional cuisine at its best! Wine guru Bruno Cunha serves up the perfect accompaniment. Vilamoura beach and the center with its marina can be reached in just a few minutes by the hotel's own shuttle bus.
