Oceania Cruises goes vegan

Vegan cuisine now on board at Oceania Cruises with over 250 plant-based dishes from breakfast to dinner

Friends of a plant-based diet now get their money's worth with Oceania Cruises. The cruise brand, known for the finest cuisine at sea, is expanding its menu to include more than 250 vegan dishes. There is also a bar for cold-pressed juices and smoothies - a first on the world's oceans. The new offer complements the extensive vegetarian, gluten-free and kosher selection in the on-board restaurants. The vegan dishes will now be served fleet-wide in the Grand Dining Room for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the six ships Regatta, Insignia, Nautica, Marina, Riviera and Sirena. The "Raw Juice and Smoothie Bar" is open to guests on the O-Class ships, Marina and Riviera, on the pool deck.

Vegan highlights in the Grand Dining Room and Terrace Café

The vegan breakfast menu includes five different main courses, including a "Vegan Tortilla Española" made from potatoes, onions and tofu, vanilla waffles with fresh berries or apricot-pistachio muffins. There is also a choice of side dishes such as vegan sausages and grilled tomatoes or mushrooms. For lunch, guests can choose from a range of Italian-inspired dishes, such as a Tuscan-style bean soup, vegetable involtini (vegetable roulade) filled with tofu, spinach and capers with olive tapenade or a vegan ricotta and chocolate cake with a vanilla and raspberry topping. Guests can even enjoy the five-course dinner menu entirely vegan on request. Dishes include a quinoa salad, vegetable tartare, creamy parsnip soup with truffles, Thai curry with steamed jasmine rice and shortbread on passion fruit cream with strawberries.

Cold-pressed juices and smoothies

The "Raw Juice and Smoothie Bar" is located on the pool deck of the Marina and Riviera next to the Waves Grill and serves raw, cold-pressed juices and vegan smoothies from 7 am to 11 am. Various breakfast "bowls", e.g. with acai berries and other fruits or chia-cashew yoghurt, are also on offer.
