Four Seasons in the Maldives, Oberoi on the Nile and, from 2021, Ritz Carlton on all the world's oceans: It seems that luxury hotel chains are increasingly moving from the mainland to the water ... It is fitting that the tourism investor "Genting Hong Kong" (owner of the ultra-luxury shipping company Crystal Cruises, among others) is planning to have several ships of the "Universal" class built at the MV shipyard in Rostock over the next few years. Once completed, the luxury liners, which are designed to carry 2,000 passengers, will primarily be used by hotel chains. Until then, we are already thinking of suitable names such as "Sheraton Sea", "Hilton Hightide", "W Wave" or "Mandarin Mare" ...
