Holland America Line: Happy Birthday Half Moon Cay!

Welcome to the Caribbean island!

For 20 years now, a stop on the private island of Half Moon Cay has been part of almost every Holland America Line Caribbean voyage. In December 1996, the US shipping company purchased the uninhabited island located around 100 nautical miles south-east of Nassau. Today it is one of the most popular Caribbean
of Holland America Lines and for the most part a bird sanctuary. During the anniversary season, seven of the 14 Holland America Line ships, including the new MS Koningsdam, will call at the island. The "Lobster Shack" recently opened - an authentic "board shack" with typical Bahamas cuisine à la grilled lobster with rum marinade, beans and coconut rice, sofrito salsa and rum punch.
