Celebrity Cruises: Gliding Over the Sea on the Magic Carpet

Celebrity Cruises' Edge Class: Groundbreaking Design and Many Unforgettable Experiences

Celebrity Cruises offers an upscale, premium vacation experience at sea aboard its 15 ships. The cruise line calls at approximately 300 destinations in more than 70 countries across all seven continents. Guests may enjoy the particularly exclusive ambience and attentive service typical of smaller ships alongside the diverse amenities found on larger vessels, enabling them to explore the world or simply step away from the daily grind for a spell.

Celebrity Cruises’ newest class of ships, the Edgeclass, has set new industry standards and combines groundbreaking design with unforgettable experiences. This class currently includes five ships—with another ship scheduled to launch in 2028.

What Makes Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Class Special●

One of the unique features of the Edge Class ships is the Magic Carpet, the free-floating platform on the starboard side of the ship that provides additional space on the Resort Deck as a bar and lounge area during the day and serves as an extension of a specialty restaurant in the evening—with guests always floating directly above the sea. The Magic Carpet also serves as a comfortable tender lounge. ● Among the innovative accommodations are the “Edge Villas”—two-story, 88-square-meter villas with a private plunge pool and their own veranda. Also new are the “AquaClass Sky Suites,” an impressive and very spacious living experience featuring floor-to-ceiling ocean views, private verandas, and numerous wellness amenities. ● Instead of a classic outside stateroom, the Edge-class ships also offer staterooms with an “Infinite Veranda.”These feature an interior balcony with a floor-to-ceiling, glass-fronted wall. The balcony materializes at the press of a button, lowering the expansive window to create an immediate connection with the sea. One advantage of this design is that even in inclement weather, the cabin offers a fully glazed balcony—a sort of winter garden on the high seas. This expansion of the living space now provides guests with 20 percent more room.

● Guests may choose from 30 distinct restaurants, bars, and lounges. Globally inspired menus, curated by a Michelin-starred chef, bring the flavors of the world directly to your plate and ensure an unparalleled culinary journey at sea. ● The cruise line is renowned for its varied entertainment programthroughout the day. Elaborately staged productions at The Theater, interactive shows at The Club, spirited dance parties, live music, and delightful surprises ensure every guest discovers the ideal form of evening entertainment. ● The open main deck is graced by a vast, lush Rooftop Garden offeringabundant seating areas and intimate, shaded lounge chairs. The Beyond, Ascent, and Xcel also feature glass-enclosed, cantilevered freshwater pools (heated) that extend beyond the ship’s side. ● Attention to detail and a stylish ambianceawait guests on Celebrity Cruises not only in all cabins and suites but also in the public areas on board. Above all, these spaces offer one thing: an abundance of design elements and modern art pieces that transform each vessel into a floating museum. For example, the Beyond, Apex, and Edge each showcase an onboard art collection comprising more than 4,000 individual works.
