From the Moselle to the Mississippi

With two luxurious ocean-going ships and plenty of river cruisers on the Rhine, Main, Moselle, Danube and other rivers, Viking is one of the most renowned providers in the English-speaking high-class market. Plans have now been announced to establish a presence on the Mississippi from 2022. Although not much is yet known about the new ship, which is currently under construction in Louisiana, we already have some initial information (and renderings): the new ship will offer space for almost 400 guests on five decks and will have cabins and suites measuring up to 95 square meters. In addition to outdoor and indoor restaurants, there will also be the typical Viking "Living Room" in Scandinavian design. Extensive investments in sustainability and environmental protection are also planned. The routing is based on 8 to 15-day voyages between New Orleans, St. Louis, Memphis and St. Paul.
