Silversea's first destination-specific ship will offer travel experiences in the Galapagos Islands from summer 2020.

As one of the most eco-friendly cruise ships ever and designed entirely with these unique islands in mind, Silver Origin will combine Silversea's local destination expertise with the cruise line's signature level of luxury to offer guests the ultimate destination experience.

From summer 2020, the 100-passenger, fully-equipped Silver Origin will
will build on Silversea's expertise in the Galapagos to create deeper connections between guests and the destination. In addition to the ship's innovative design and guests' unique experiences ashore, led by Silversea's expedition team certified by the Galapagos National Park, this fascinating and exceptional concept will allow guests to enjoy Ecuadorian culture on board. For example, through insightful content such as daily briefings, lectures, videos and scientific information, authentic local cuisine prepared by experienced Ecuadorian chefs and various other luxurious enhancements. Silver Origin offers the highest Zodiac crew ratio in the region at 1:12.5 and will be a luxurious launching point from which guests can enjoy personalized experiences in the Galapagos. Every aspect of guests' cruise experience will be designed to bring them closer to the authentic beauty of the Galapagos in the utmost comfort.

Perfectly crafted and with the utmost attention to guest comfort
the interior of the Silver Origin will exude a sense of well-being inspired by the understated Italian elegance that characterizes Silversea's fleet of small ships. But the unique natural environment of the Galapagos Islands will also take influence to enhance guests' engagement with the destination, with each space enhancing the experience. Bright, colorful motifs and local materials highlight the design. Silver Origin's public spaces were designed by HBA Miami, while GEM - Design for Cruise Ships, the team behind Silver Muse's interior design, oversaw the interior design of the ship's suites.

The Basecamp, an elegant lounge
where guests can meet before and after excursions, will be one of the most innovative spaces on the Silver Origin. The Basecamp is adjacent to the Zodiac inflatable boat loading area, emphasizing the synergy between the destination and the ship. It will host regular educational activities where guests can interact with the expedition team on board to learn more about the rare wildlife, amazing landscapes and fascinating history of the Galapagos before and after experiencing these attractions first-hand.
Basecamp features a large, interactive digital wall that allows guests to access destination-related content such as images, videos, excursion previews and scientific presentations.

With floor-to-ceiling windows for a great view of the surroundings
the Explorer Lounge on the Silver Origin will be the venue for daily briefings and presentations by the expedition team. The elegant space features a large video wall and wide screens in various seating areas to optimize guests' travel experience. It will also be a meeting space where guests can relax at the bar and listen to piano music. With Silversea's all-inclusive lifestyle concept, guests will enjoy included beverages throughout the ship, including spirits, champagne and many different wines.

The beautiful Observation Lounge
is located at the very front of the ship and offers guests an elegant retreat with incredible views. It will be the ideal place for guests to relax with a book from the library, which will be carefully curated by Silversea experts and will offer the cruise line's most extensive selection of destination-focused literature.

Silver Origin will have eight different suite categories on board
to provide guests with the highest level of comfort - the largest of which, the Owner's Suite, offers unparalleled views of the surrounding area. All suites have a private veranda, while some suite categories feature an innovative Horizon Balcony, which can be reconfigured to enclose the balcony with a floor-to-ceiling window for more space and better protection from the elements. In addition, selected suite categories will include a bathtub with sea view and a shower with sea view, conveniently and comfortably accessible to guests from the balcony.

Experienced local chefs will take guests on a journey of culinary discovery
in the two restaurants of the Silver Origin. Guests are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in Ecuadorian culture: "The Restaurant" and "The Grill" can accommodate all guests. Authentic flavors, fresh local ingredients and regional wines will complement international cuisine to delight guests' palates and showcase the best of Ecuadorian culinary heritage in sophisticated settings. In the restaurant, guests will enjoy an abundance of natural light and sweeping views while dining; in The Grill, a sophisticated open-air venue that can be partially enclosed, Silversea's signature Hot Rocks concept will enhance guests' dining experience, while Ecuadorian twists will further enhance the offering.

Silver Origin will be one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships
ever built, thanks to state-of-the-art technology and solutions developed specifically for sailing in the Galapagos: The vessel's dynamic positioning system will allow the Silver Origin to automatically maintain position to protect the seabed; freshwater purification systems installed in each suite will allow the vessel to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles; an advanced wastewater treatment system will meet or exceed the most stringent regulations on the market; and the Silver Origin will meet the highest standards of energy efficiency in the segment. Silver Origin's technological innovation will complement Silversea's ongoing efforts to positively impact the natural and economic environment of the Galapagos Islands, including the cruise line's contribution to the Floreana Island Ecological Restoration Project.

"Silver Origin will expand our market-leading offering in the Galapagos, providing guests with unforgettable experiences
while traveling in the utmost luxury," says Roberto Martinoli, CEO of Silversea. "Since the early planning stages, every decision for Silver Origin has been made with the aim of strengthening the connection between our guests and this spectacular, unique destination."
"The natural beauty of the Galapagos makes it one of the best cruise destinations in the world," said Fernando Delgado, Vice President and General Manager of Canodros C.L. "Silver Origin will enrich Silversea's award-winning cruise experience here and elevate it to an even more incredible level for guests' enjoyment. I look forward to personally welcoming Silver Origin to the region and introducing the ship to our valued guests and trade partners."

Silver Origin will have the highest guest-to-crew ratio
(1:1.16) and the highest ratio of qualified expedition guides per guest (1:10) in the Galapagos, allowing for unparalleled personalized service. This will also extend to the in-suite experience, as Silver Origin will be the only ship in the Galapagos to offer butler service to all suites. For more than five years, Silversea has been bringing guests closer to the authentic beauty of the Galapagos with the archipelago's best luxury cruise product; the cruise line's Silver Galapagos, which will be replaced by Silver Origin, recently took first place among small ships in four award categories at the 2019 Cruise Critic's Cruisers' Choice Awards, including Best Overall Ship, Best Shore Excursions and Best Value for the second year in a row.
