Ritz-Carlton conquers the oceans

Ritz-Carlton sets off for new shores - in the truest sense of the word.

With the "Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection", the luxury hotel chain is also venturing onto the high seas from the beginning of 2019. Three mega yachts are planned that will "stand out from the crowd in the world's most glamorous ports", according to Herve Humler, President and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. Thanks to its intimate size, the first yacht will already be able to sail to places that are inaccessible to large cruise ships - from Capri to Portofino and St. Barths to the ancient city of Cartagena. The specially designed, 190-meter-long ship can accommodate 298 passengers and has 149 suites, all of which have a private balcony. It is also home to two spacious 138 square meter duplex penthouse suites. The Ritz-Carlton yacht also has a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld, who is responsible for the Aqua restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg, which has been awarded three Michelin stars. There is also a signature spa, a panorama lounge and a wine bar. Partnerships are also planned with local chefs, musicians and artists who will bring guests closer to the places they visit in an authentic way. Reservations can be made from May 2018. The ships in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection are also available for private charter.
