Resort Recommendation Jamaica: DJ Diplo's Pompey Estate

Brutalist Luxury Meets Nature

Grammy winner Diplo has opened his brutalist island home in Port Antonio, Jamaica to travelers. Located on a sprawling 250,000 square meter estate, the villa has been seven years in the making. Visitors may choose to stay in one of the 5 bedrooms (all secluded from each other with outdoor showers) or in the music studio at the bottom of the hill. Pompey is perched on a bedrock overlooking the lush landscape and Jamaica’s North coast. The central pool and communal dining room foster a sense of indoor-outdoor living. The library and living room are appointed with tribal artwork and comfy, earth-colored furniture with bold-patterned fabrics. Animal lovers will be excited to learn that the estate also includes riding stables (with one horse fittingly named Meghan Thee Stallion), cows, pigs, and a lovely donkey. Pineapples, bananas, and sweet potatoes are grown on a working farm. Guests do yoga in a pavilion overlooking a pond or work out in a state-of-the-art gym, on a climbing wall or Pilates reformer. They may take their e-bikes or ATVs on trails across the property or relax in a sauna. The cherry on the top is Pompey’s perfect sound system. Lounging in the pool, guests can spin a crystal-clear rendition of Grammy-award winning dance track, “Where Are Ü Now.” Diplo, Skrillex, and Justin Bieber might just as well walk in the door.
