Opened just a few years after the fall of the Berlin Wall as a Berlin artists' project, the "Luise" has developed into a unique hotel. A hotel with the charm of its listed architecture, the inspiration of the hotel rooms designed by renowned artists and the ingenious location in Berlin Mitte, within sight of the Reichstag building and the Spree, just a few minutes' walk from Unter den Linden, Friedrichstraße and the Brandenburg Gate. The Federal Chancellery and the parliament buildings of the government district, the Charité hospital and the ARD capital studio are in the neighborhood. Many museums and galleries are within walking distance.

Over 50 artists have implemented their spatial concepts in the hotel rooms. The entire room is consistently the subject of the artistic concept, including furnishings and other fittings. No two rooms are alike, each room is unique, united only by the artistic standards with which the concepts were realized.
