Hotel Blü
In the Gastein Valley, the new Blü design hotel has planted itself between meadows and mountains, bringing a strong pinch of urbanity to the mountain village. Cheerful colors, modern art and a casual lifestyle characterize the new design hotel in Bad Hofgastein.
Guests stay in the main building, where 18 brand new Blü-style design rooms were created in spring 2025, and in the new tree house, where the rooms feature wooden floors, a chill lounge by the window, a balcony and lots of little details.
No matter how inviting the rooms are, it's worth exploring the surrounding area, as the paths lead directly from the Blü to the most beautiful places in the region. Mountain lakes and rushing streams can be found at almost every corner in Gastein, and the suspension bridge on the Stubnerkogel is another highlight. At 140 meters and 28 meters high, it is the highest in the whole of Europe - not for the faint-hearted, but good for an adrenaline rush.
Chill out and relax in the HimmelBLÜ Spa on the roof. Here you can unwind in the sauna, on the roof garden of the HimmelBLÜSpa and on the sun deck. Magnificent views of the Graukogel, Gamskarkogel or the Schlossalm are included. In the daily yoga sessions with resident yogi Fia Sonora, you can find your way back to the center in your own flow and ground yourself and relax. From now on, guests at Himmelblü Garden can also enjoy ice bathing.
Eat as you please, because the Blü is a "must-free zone". Open-minded gourmets have long since learned to love the culinary BLÜ. Now host Eva Maria Eder and chef Marcus Langhammer have gone one better for their hotel guests: The traditional "half-board" has been abolished - at BLÜ, hotel guests are treated to a dinner that reflects modern, sustainable dining culture. Their visionary kitchen brigade implements this in their usual cosmopolitan manner.
Hotel guests can now book their room with breakfast and dinner. As usual, dinner consists of three courses, with a surprising main course. The main is served as a sharing - very typical BLÜ - which always consists of five components: vegetables close to their original state, vegetables prepared more intensively, pulses, carbs and sauce. This sharing is definitely vegetarian, mostly vegan and a full meal in itself. If you still fancy meat or fish, simply order it as an add-on.
Locals and guests meet at the BLÜ Bar for a quick caffè al banco, a glass of Prosecco or a perfectly balanced cocktail to accompany a jazz concert or DJ line.
