Park Hyatt Vienna

The place to be – The Park Hyatt Vienna demonstrates how a legendary, historic bank building is transformed into an iconic hotel.

Some 100 years ago, Vienna’s first reinforced-concrete structure cloaked in neoclassical elegance—now the Park Hyatt Vienna—rose on one of the city’s most historically significant squares, Am Hof. Renowned for its impressive cashier’s hall and executive floor, the building most recently served as the headquarters of Bank Austria UniCredit. Renovation work began in the summer of 2008, and since 2014, the Park Hyatt Vienna has embodied the finest aspects of the city: exclusive elegance, a luxurious lifestyle, refined class, and more. Surrounded by stylish shopping destinations and a wealth of world-famous sights, this luxury hotel combines contemporary style with Viennese touches and offers the perfect starting point for numerous activities, for both leisure and business travelers. The Royal Penthouse Suite is truly singular, affording a panoramic vista of the city and constituting an exquisite retreat for those who appreciate the extraordinary.

From Vision to Reality

: The former banking offices were reimagined as 146 luxurious, expansive guest chambers, including 43 suites ranging from 35 to 820 square metres—among the largest in the city. The hotel’s sophisticated interior design is the work of the highly acclaimed FG Stijl studio and is evident, for example, in the elegant bathrooms featuring marble and onyx. Additionally, each room features a mother-of-pearl inlay on the floor, and opulent wall brooches from the Neue Wiener Werkstätten adorn the walls.

Sensual Indulgence

: With four authentic, stylishly appointed restaurants, lounges, and bars, Park Hyatt Vienna encompasses the full spectrum of culinary excellence. For instance, “The Bank Brasserie & Bar”—integrated into the historic cashier’s hall of the former bank building—offers a true experience for the palate and the senses in a singular atmosphere. The open show kitchen allows guests to look closely over the chef’s shoulder as he prepares his menus with ingredients freshly delivered from local farms. Among the culinary highlights are not only the reinterpretation of the Sunday “Gabelfrühstück” with traditional and hearty dishes from the rotisserie and grill, but above all the “Chef’s Table”: Here, the chef personally cooks for a single table according to the guests’ preferences. István Törzsök has been the executive chef at “The Bank Brasserie & Bar” since 2019. A native of Hungary, he has been part of the kitchen team since the restaurant’s relaunch in March 2016. Since early 2022, one of the city’s most beautiful salons has once again been available as a mixology bar, dedicated to fine spirits and extraordinary cocktails.

A Hotel as a Treasure Trove

Where gold and banknotes were once stored, an oasis of tranquility now invites guests to relax and recharge: Housed within the former vault rooms, the 1,000-square-meter Arany Spa immerses guests in a sensory realm of scents, aromas, music, and beauty treatments, all within a luxurious ambience of gold, mother-of-pearl, and fine woods. In addition to a 15-metre pool, the facility provides a generous wet area with a sauna, aromatic steam bath, vitality shower and relaxation room, as well as a fitness zone outfitted with the latest Technogym equipment. It is the ideal way to indulge before celebrating with friends—should that be your desire—for the exclusive executive floor stands ready to host special occasions of every kind.
