Bergergut
From the Waldbad to the WaldSPA. The Bergergut in Upper Austria scores points with its fascinating location in the border triangle of the Mühlviertel, Bohemia and Bavaria, individual suites and 3-toque cuisine. The fine hideaway has been offering couples a new wellness area including a natural garden since the beginning of July. The location in the middle of the Mühlviertel hills and the stylishly designed 4-star superior hotel ensure private togetherness without the kitsch.
Hideaway for couples only
"We are and will remain a very personally run family business and want to make the vacation time, especially for couples, even more attractive with the new wellness area. The Mühlviertel is characterized by a beautiful natural landscape and it is important to preserve this, so we are planning innovatively but sustainably," says host Eva-Maria Pürmayer. The local craftsmen combined the indoor and outdoor pool, installed an outdoor wooden sauna and many cozy relaxation areas in the idyllic garden. The new sauna lounge also boasts a SOLEUM tea & brine steam bath with herbs from the hotel's own garden. The loungers by the water lily biotope in the middle of the lavender garden offer a special place to relax. Natural materials are the main protagonists and the forest serves as a model for rest and relaxation. The SPA team pampers you with a holistic range of energy massages and cosmetics.
3-toque cuisine & many individual moments of indulgence
Thomas Hofer, 3-toque chef and host at the Bergergut, was recently voted one of the "100 best chefs" (Rolling Pin) once again. For hotel guests, the culinary delights begin in the morning with breakfast. The crowning glory of the day is dinner from the 3-toque kitchen: depending on their mood, guests can choose between the 5-course "Mühlviertler Mund.Art" menu, the 8-course "Chefs Table" menu or one of the three "Topf & Brett" dishes. The restaurant was also remodeled just a few months ago.
