Roosevelt Townhouse

Located directly opposite the Votive Church and close to the Ringstrasse, the Roosevelt Stadthaus is an extraordinary retreat.

What makes it special is that the historic 19th century Wilhelminian-style building is not a traditional hotel as we know it, but has been a family-run townhouse since 2016. This means no overzealous room service, no stressful breakfast times, no prying eyes in the lobby - just a very personal and private atmosphere.

Long tradition

The Roosevelt has a wealth of stories to tell: built in 1886 by Emil von Förster, some of the apartments were designed by Adolf Loos, parts of which have been preserved to this day. Prominent residents of the townhouse include Arthur Schnitzler, who lived here with his mother Louise from 1893 to 1911.

Whether you only want to stay a few nights or move in for longer - staying at the Roosevelt is a celebration of the real Viennese lifestyle and allows you to leave everyday life behind. The rooms, suites and apartments are housed in beautiful old apartments and impress with the highest quality craftsmanship, fine materials and stylish furnishings.

Best starting point

Thanks to its city center location directly opposite the Votivkirche and close to Vienna's Ringstrasse in the heart of Vienna's old town, the Stadthaus Roosevelt is ideal for strollers and connoisseurs who want to discover Vienna on foot. In the immediate vicinity are the most beautiful sights such as the Hofburg, the shopping streets of the city center, the Servitenviertel, City Hall, University and Parliament, as well as the most important museums and art galleries.
