In the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in the mountaineering village of Hüttschlag, lies the family-run ONKL XONNA. The Premium Alpine Chalets are true luxury oases of retreat, homely and modern, exclusive and inspiring.
Onkl Xonna, namesake and uncle of the family who died far too young, also appreciated the special nature of the place. It was his "ideal world", his favorite place, his place to unwind. Sonja and Christian Viehhauser have continued what ONKL XONNA started. It took just under eight months to build Chalet Innergebirg and Chalet Hohe Tauern. Two and three floors respectively, furnished to the highest standards in modern design, provide a spectacular backdrop for an everyday break. Natural materials reflect the homely feel, while large glass fronts provide a view of the mountains. The exclusive spa areas feature an infrared cabin, sauna, hot tub, free-standing bathtub and spacious relaxation areas.
Breakfast is brought to the chalet daily. For the rest of the day, you will find everything you need for a successful meal in the modern kitchen and bar area with temperature-controlled wine cabinet. For more exclusive pleasures, you can also book a private sommelier or even a four-course 2-toque dinner.
The mountaineering village of Hüttschlag - around eight kilometers from Grossarl - is part of one of the largest national parks in the Alps, the Hohe Tauern National Park. In summer, you can explore the proud mountains here on foot or by bike. In winter, Hüttschlag is a paradise for cross-country skiers, winter hikers and ski tourers.
