The Ötschergräben and the numerous natural mountains in Mariazellerland are particularly popular. In summer, the highlight is the exclusive, hotel-owned bathing jetty on Lake Erlaufsee, which at 24 degrees offers a refreshing cool-down on sunny days. In winter, the region beckons with romantic ski tours, and the gondola lift to the local mountain starts 200 meters from the Montestyria.
The accessibility of Montestyria is excellent: the hideaway can be reached in just under two hours by car from Vienna, Linz or Graz. Alternatively, the famous Mariazell cable car offers a convenient way to get there, you can also travel by bike via the Traisental cycle path, and a small airfield in Mariazell allows landings by motor plane or helicopter.
