At the Wildbachberg
Franzl, Sepp and Rosa quickly grow fond of their guests: three vacation homes in the gently rolling Styrian Schilcherland offer a refuge for peace and enjoyment.
With attention to detail
The vacation homes "Franzl", "Sepp" and "Rosa" have been renovated with great dedication using traditional craftsmanship. Real wooden windows, old bricks, lime plaster and Stainzer stone give the accommodation an authentic charm. Johanna paid particular attention to handmade details: her self-designed glass artworks add colorful accents, while hand-sewn linen curtains made by her mother add a personal touch. "We wanted to create accommodation that we would live in ourselves - honest and genuine," says Günter Krainer. Each house has a private terrace and a panoramic sauna with rain shower. The stainless steel infinity pool and the 300-year-old wine cellar are open to all guests. The largest of the three houses, "Franzl", offers space for four people, while "Sepp" and "Rosa" are ideal for couples with their open-plan living and sleeping areas.
Regional & homemade
The day begins with a lovingly prepared breakfast basket filled with homemade jams, organic cheese, fresh pastries and herbs from the garden. In the afternoon, the nearby Buschenschank tavern serves a traditional Brettljause snack, or you can try a hearty fried chicken in a bed of hay in one of the nearby restaurants. Host Günter is happy to give insider tips on the best Styrian restaurants in the area. The hotel's own wine cellar houses up to 800 bottles, including many regional natural wines as well as the hotel's own creations. Guests can taste the wines in a convivial atmosphere while Günter shares his passion for the original art of winemaking.
Relaxation & activity
Here, it's not the clock that sets the time, but your own well-being. Whether relaxing by the pool, in the sauna or on your own terrace - everyone can find their own favorite place and rhythm on the Wildbachberg.
There are numerous options for active vacationers: Hiking & cycling through the Schilcherland, fly fishing with Günter at the best spots in the region, golfing at the Schloss Frauenthal Golf Club just 3 km away or discovery tours with the nostalgic Stainzer Flascherlzug or along the picturesque Schilcher Wine Road.
