The 2021 Connoisseur Circle Hospitality Awards:
A Fixture in the Luxury Hotel Industry
The Connoisseur Circle Hospitality Awards are among the most prestigious prizes in the international luxury hotel industry. They will be presented for the 9th time this year.

Connoisseur Circle is sending a strong signal of hope by distinguishing the best hotels and resorts with the coveted Hospitality Awards again this year. In contrast to previous years, however, nominations are not received from all over the world, but are restricted to countries that our jury of experts was able to visit in 2020. As a result, Connoisseur Circle will focus on the German-speaking region, the Mediterranean, and dream island destinations in the Indian Ocean.

Another new feature this year is that the complete list of nominees will be announced at ITB Berlin NOW. And instead of the glamorous gala—a highlight of the trade show since 2013 and a social hub for the industry—a digital awards ceremony will take place in June. All winners in the categories of Best Hotels and Special Awards will be covered in the summer print edition of Connoisseur Circle magazine, in CC VIP, and on our digital and social media channels on June 15th, 2021.

This new approach to hosting the ceremony does not take away from the significance of the award, nor does it lessen the excitement in the run-up: Who will win in the Grand Hotel category in 2021? Which newcomer is currently making waves? Which resorts have developed the most successful strategies to combining luxury and sustainability?

Consisting of renowned travel journalists and tourism insiders, our 16-member expert jury applied strict criteria to thoroughly evaluate a total of 27 candidates in 9 categories.
We are looking forward to receiving your evaluation today, and to hopefully visiting all of the award-winning hotels and resorts in the near future.
